“THE OTHER SHOW”

i

While we were young, it started

at a subdued lighted room

from a chair, someone departed

you seated with a sudden zoom

ii

and for a while the music stopped

the lighted room how it became

darkness engulfed the hungry mob

everyone had gone insane

iii

the curtain rose at the ceiling’s top

leaving a sound it moved sideways

a canvass white centered when it stopped

now it started counting the olden days

iv

your hands have crept touching my skin

i thought it would, to end just there

but it reached and there had been

now it seemed it went somewhere

v

the bulge had grown into a mound

the ohs and ahs the notes surround

until the mound was freed and found

of spitted  ohs and spewed ahs denounced

vi

your hands were dry

now wet and wild

you asked a hanky

to wipe it dry
